This year, 26 employees were awarded the “Golden Chip” a recognition for Fantoni employees who have reached twenty years of service with the company!

The traditional ceremony, held on Saturday, September 28 at the Osoppo Campus, was an opportunity to highlight employee loyalty and celebrate their dedication, as was originally envisioned by Cavalier Marco Fantoni in 1995, the year the Trucioli d’Oro Association was founded.

The event was attended by representatives from the ITS Academy Udine, including President Paola Perabò and Director Ester Iannis. It was also an opportunity to discuss economic performance and training, the latter being an area where the Friulian wood industry company has always been particularly active.

The awarded employees are Luca Baracchini, Gabriele Baron, Antonio Bulfone, Daniele Caruso, Mirca Colomba, Davide Damiani, Maria Luisa De Cecco, Matteo Gatti, Gianluca Armando Gerussi, Silvio Leo, Massimo Lupieri, Luciano Manzocco, Claudio Piazza, Katia Piccolo, Sandro Tubaro, Elena Urbano, Andrea Vattolo, and Rino Vuerich. In addition, eight suppliers and external collaborators, who have also contributed to the growth of the Fantoni group for the past twenty years, were recognized: Giovanni Montesoro and Renato Picogna, the president of the board of auditors Piergiovanni Celetto, board member Salvatore Capomacchia, company doctor Massimo Sigon, consultant David J. Rigg, furniture agent from Catania Agostino Mignosa, and Tipolitografia Martin from Cordenons.

The event featured speeches by Paolo, Giovanni, and Alessandro Fantoni, who presented to the more than 200 guests in attendance the €250 million investment plan for the Osoppo site, which began in 2015 and will next year include the renovation and expansion of the production capacity at the Lesonit site in Slovenia.

The Fantoni family also focused on the competitiveness of the system and the need to revive European industrial policies that also lead to higher technical and specialized training.

They continued by highlighting the collaboration the company has established with the ITS Academy in Udine, of which Fantoni is a founding member. Event guests President Paola Perabò and Director Ester Iannis presented the numerous upcoming courses for senior technicians, including the advanced mechatronics course and the course on sustainable design and innovation in the wood and furniture sector, in which the Osoppo group is directly involved. The foundation now has 83 members and recorded 350 students in the past year, providing them with skills aligned with the demands of the job market, knowledge consistent with current technological developments, and additional specialized extracurricular competencies.
